Safeguarding and safety

At Rising Lights we take safeguarding and safety very seriously.

We are grieved to hear of the recent tragic accident at the Big Church Weekend festival and our thoughts and prayers are with all those affected, especially the family of Pastor Robert Guanco who lost his life. We're also praying for the organisers and team who will be going through a very difficult time.

We know that even with conscientious planning, sometimes such tragedies do occur.

As with all such events, please be assured our team plans for a safe environment, carefully assessing and mitigating any risks. We have first aiders and paramedics on site as part of the event. 

In addition, all relevant staff (including all those who work with children) are DBS checked and have undertaken appropriate safeguarding training. We also employ a safeguarding lead and advisory team on site.
